WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out overnight and morning raids in the West Bank and detained and kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens, while Jewish settlers committed different violations under military protection.
According to local sources on Friday, the IOF detained three Palestinians in al-Malih village in the northeast of Tubas after they defended themselves and their property against settler attacks.
Chief of the village council Mahdi Daraghmeh said that Israeli soldiers kidnaped three villagers after tying their hands and blindfolding them before releasing them later.
Daraghmeh added that a horde of settlers already vandalized property, forced local residents to leave their homes, and stole about 350 head of livestock from the village.
In Tulkarem, the IOF stormed Izbat Shufa village and patrolled its streets, while restricting the movement of local residents.
Local sources in the village said that Israeli forces stormed a gas cylinder store owned by Abu Bakr Hamed and informed him of a military decision to close it until further notice.
Those forces assaulted farmer Mumen Hamed as he was passing by the IOF watchtower in the west of Izbat Shufa, handcuffed and blindfolded him, and stole his cellphone and agricultural belongings before releasing him later.
One citizen was taken prisoner during an IOF raid in Kafr Jamal village, south of Tulkarem.
In the northern Jordan Valley, the IOF kidnaped three citizens in al-Malih Bedouin community after settlers assaulted them.
Local official Kamal Bani Odeh said that settlers attacked the home of Tareq Kaabneh under military protection before IOF soldiers stormed it and kidnaped him along with two of his male relatives.
On Thursday evening, armed settlers stormed the same Bedouin community and fired live rounds into the air, causing panic among the local residents.
Those settlers also went on the rampage through the community and tried to steal livestock belonging to the residents.
In Qalqilya, the IOF kidnaped two fathers and two of their sons during a raid in Kafr Laqif village.
The IOF also raided homes and kidnaped two citizens from the family of ash-Shiri in Sir village, east of Qalqilya.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces kidnaped five citizens following raids on homes in Dura City.
The IOF reportedly forced families to leave an apartment building in Dura City and turned it into military barracks.
They also raided several homes in Halhul town, north of al-Khalil, with no reported arrests.
In Nablus, the IOF kidnaped a citizen during a dawn raid on a house in the city after opening fire at him and wounding him.
A citizen was also kidnaped from his home during an IOF raid in the new refugee camp of Askar, east of Nablus.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped a young man from his home in Beit Rima town.
