11th Group of Palestinian Returnees Arrives Through Rafah Crossing

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis received, on Monday evening, the eleventh group of Palestinian returnees entering through the Rafah land crossing in southern Gaza.

The group joins a limited number of returnees who arrived in ten previous batches, all under strict Israeli-imposed restrictions and procedures.

Israeli authorities continue to enforce measures that obstruct the return process, including delays in security checks and repeated disruptions to the movement of travellers.

Described by returnees as an “indescribable feeling,” the journey back home has become increasingly perilous. Road closures and damage to crossing infrastructure have turned the return process into a significant risk, with travelers forced to wait for long hours in inhumane conditions. Reports also indicate that some individuals in earlier batches were subjected to coercive practices and field arrests.

Earlier on Monday, the Government Media Office in Gaza released data on movement through the Rafah crossing between 2 February and 15 February.

According to the statement, a total of 455 individuals were able to leave Gaza during this period, while 356 returnees entered the Strip. Additionally, 26 travelers were turned back and prevented from crossing.
