Gaza rejects forced displacement, pledges steadfastness

GAZA, (The Palestinian Information Center) Gaza City’s elders and dignitaries have announced their determination to remain in the war-torn coastal enclave and their rejection of all the Zio-American displacement plans.

“We are not leaving Gaza. We will die in Gaza and buried in its soil. Death is a hundred thousand times more honorable for us, our children and our families,” Mukhtar Abu Suleiman al-Maghni said during a meeting held by Gaza City’s elders and dignitaries.

“We must not be remembered in history as those who left Gaza, abandoned it, and fled to unfamiliar homes,” Maghni added.

“What explanation will we give our children tomorrow if we leave our homeland behind?” he said.

“For those who wish to leave, the door is open, but for us, the land of Gaza, from its northernmost to southernmost points, is our homeland, and we will be buried in it,” he underscored.

For his part, Mukhtar Abu Bilal al-Aklouk said that their meeting sends a message to the whole world to “witness our steadfastness, resilience and pride, pride like the mountains of Palestine.”

“In Gaza, all human rights have been violated, including its people’s right to live in their own homeland,” Aklouk said, addressing the Western world, which claims to protect human rights.

He paid tribute to the Christians in Gaza for their patriotic stance, affirming that “the minarets of Gaza’s mosques embrace the steeples of its churches and declare: We will not leave.”
