GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Dozens of citizens, including children and women, were massacred or injured on Friday evening when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in Tal az-Zaatar area, north of the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, the Israeli occupation army bombed a multi-story building belonging to Shalayel in Tal az-Zaatar, killing and injuring dozens of its residents.
A large number of wounded and missing people are reportedly still under the rubble, while there are no civil defense and ambulance services in the area to deal with the situation.
A source from the Shalayel family said that over 40 people were inside the bombed building, including a number of displaced civilians, adding that a pregnant woman was among the victims.
For its part, Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli army committed two horrific massacres on Friday when it reduced to rubble two apartment buildings belonging to the families of Shalayel and al-Ghandour in northern Gaza, adding that 170 civilians were inside them when the airstrikes happened.
The airstrikes on the buildings claimed the lives of at least 84 civilians, including 50 children, and injured many others, while many others are still under the rubble, according to GMO.
