282 Israeli Breaches of Gaza Truce Recorded: GMO

GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)

In the first month following the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces committed 282 violations, leaving 242 killed and 620 injured.

In a statement released Monday, the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza stated that the Israeli occupation continues to blatantly and systematically violate the ceasefire agreement.

The GMO described these violations as “a flagrant breach of all international norms and conventions.”

According to the statement, the violations include 88 shooting incidents directly targeting civilians, 12 incursions into residential areas beyond the so-called “yellow line,” 124 aerial or ground attacks, 52 demolitions of civilian buildings, and the arrest of 23 individuals across various parts of Gaza.

The GMO strongly condemned these repeated aggressive violations, holding Israel fully responsible for the resulting humanitarian and security consequences.

It warned that continued violations pose “a direct threat to the spirit of the agreement and a clear breach of the Israeli occupation’s obligations before the international community and the guarantor states.”

The GMO called on US President Donald Trump, along with other guarantor states and mediators, to uphold their responsibilities and apply real pressure on Israel to immediately cease violations and adhere to its signed commitments.

It also urged the full and permanent opening of Gaza’s crossings and the facilitation of humanitarian aid, food, and commercial trucks as clearly stipulated in the agreement, not on a partial basis.

The statement emphasized the urgent need to bring in medications, medical supplies and to reopen the Rafah crossing to evacuate over 22,000 wounded and sick individuals who require treatment abroad.

“These individuals need more than half a million surgical procedures, which Gaza’s medical staff simply cannot perform amid the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe,” it added.

Finally, the GMO stressed the importance of bringing in shelter materials, tents, plastic sheets, tarpaulins, especially as winter sets in, to prevent further deterioration of living conditions for the more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip.
