SANAA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The American-British coalition has carried out three airstrikes on several governorates in Yemen at dawn Thursday, causing massive destruction.
The American-British aggression targeted the Jarban area south of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, Yemeni media sources reported.
Three American-British air raids targeted the Harf Sufyan district in Amran governorate, north of Sanaa, the sources clarified, saying that the aggression also targeted the Al-Luhayyah district in Al-Hodeidah governorate, west of the country.
The US military on Wednesday said its forces struck weapons depots used by the Houthi group in Yemen to target naval warships and merchant vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
“The Houthis used these facilities to conduct attacks against US Navy warships and merchant vessels in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden,” it said in a statement.
The Houthis, in solidarity with Gaza, which has been facing a genocidal Israeli war since October 2023, have targeted Israeli cargo ships or ones linked with Tel Aviv in the Red Sea with missiles and drones, vowing to continue operations until the attacks on the enclave end.
Since the beginning of 2024, a coalition led by the US has been carrying out airstrikes that it said target Houthi locations in Yemen in response to the group’s Red Sea attacks.
