RAMALLAH, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out 256 demolition operations in the first half of 2023, targeting 303 Palestinian facilities, Palestinian sources revealed on Monday.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission affirmed in a report that the IOF demolished 303 Palestinian structures, including a school, and confiscated approximately 44,000 dunums in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.
Due to the demolition, 543 people, including 272 children, were left homeless.
During the same reported period, 822 demolition orders were also issued against Palestinian facilities under the pretext of being built without permits.
According to the report, Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers committed 4,733 separate violations against Palestinians and Palestinian property, including sabotage, uprooting trees, blocking roads, and physical assaults.
1,148 settler attacks were reported during the past six months, which resulted in the death of eight Palestinian citizens.
The report also included the establishment of 13 illegal settlements on Palestinian lands.
8,340 trees were uprooted in settler attacks during the same reported period.
465,000 Jewish settlers are currently living in more than 130 illegal settlements and more than 140 outposts in the occupied West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem
