GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Several civilians were killed and others injured on Wednesday evening as Israeli warplanes targeted a tent sheltering displaced families west of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza.
According to the PIC correspondent, the airstrike killed five people, including two children, and injured ten others. The tent was located near the Kuwaiti Hospital in western Khan Yunis.
Commenting on the Israeli massacre, the Hamas Movement described the Israeli army’s attack on the tent and the area near the Kuwaiti Hospital as a “barbaric assault and heinous bombing.” The Movement labeled the incident as a war crime and a blatant disregard for the ceasefire terms.
Hamas held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the consequences of this escalation and urged mediators to intervene and stop Israel from continuing its crimes. The statement specifically called for halting attacks on civilians, residential neighborhoods, and displacement shelters, and for preventing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his extremist government from evading the ceasefire commitments.
Despite the declared ceasefire, Israeli forces continue their violations through frequent bombings, shootings, and home demolitions throughout Gaza.
