RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that the number of Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank and Jerusalem since October 7, 2023, has amounted to 703 martyrs.
The health ministry added in a brief statement that among the martyrs are 159 children, 10 women, and nine elderly, in addition to more than 5,700 injuries monitored in the same period.
Meanwhile, the number of arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem have increased to 10,700 since the start of the ongoing Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip on October 7.
A joint statement issued by the Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society affirmed on Thursday, that the Israeli occupation forces arrested overnight 40 Palestinians from the West Bank.
The arrest operations were concentrated in the governorates of Al-Khalil and Tubas, while the rest were carried out across the provinces of the West Bank, the statement added.
It pointed out that among the prisoners who were rounded up on Thursday, a patient who was receiving treatment in hospital, in addition to former prisoners.
