Occupied West Bank – Israeli occupation forces arrested 26 Palestinians, including six minors, during military raids of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem on Sunday night and Monday.
Local sources said the forces raided several areas across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, searched Palestinians houses, turning them upside-down before arresting 26 Palestinians.
In Qalqilya, the occupation forces arrested 10 Palestinians, including five minors aged between 15 to 17.
In Ramallah, the Israeli forces arrested four Palestinian residents and three others were arrested in Nablus.
Three residents were arrested in Hebron and two others were arrested in Bethlehem, including a 16-year-old child.
In Jenin, the forces raided Silat al-Harithiya town, west of the city, and arrested a Palestinian.
The forces also arrested Palestinian-French attorney, Salah Hamouri, after raiding his house in Kufr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation forces arrested a Palestinian in the Jericho city and another 18-year-old Palestinian in Tulkarm.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians.
According to Palestinian prisoner advocacy groups, 4500 Palestinians held in Israeli occupation prisons, including 34 women, 180 minors, and 500 administrative detainees held without charges or trials.
In January 2022, Israel’ arrested 504 Palestinians, including 54 children, all under the age of 18, except a child who is under the age of 12, and 6 women. It also issued 96 administrative detention orders: 51 new orders and 45 renewal orders.
In 2020 only, the Israeli occupation authorities arrested 4,634 Palestinians, among them 543 children and 128 women, in addition to issuing 1,114 administrative detention orders.
In 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities arrested over 8000 Palestinians, including 1300 minors, all under the age of 18, and 184 women, in addition to issuing 1595 administrative detention orders.
