Occupied Palestine – The Israeli occupation forces on Friday evening detained three Palestinian youths, including an ex-detainee, during raids on the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the Israeli forces detained ex-detainee Ahmad al-Sa’di, a resident of the Jenin refugee camp, while passing near the Deir Ghazaleh town, northeast of Jenin.
In the same context, Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said that the Israeli forces detained two youths while passing across a military checkpoint.
The society pointed out that the Israeli forces detained youths Tawfiq Sameer Issa and Khaled Riyad Issa, residents of the town of Beit Sanur to the southwest of Jenin, while passing across a military checkpoint in the Northern Jordan Valleys.
Recently, the society indicated, the Israeli occupation forces escalated the arrest policy against Palestinian youths of Jenin city while passing across military checkpoints in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
