Jeddah – The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the Israeli plans to build thousands of illegal settlement units and demolish 12 villages in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement on Sunday, the OIC stressed that the Israeli colonial settlement policy represented a blatant aggression against the rights of the Palestinian people and a flagrant violation of international law and UN resolutions.
The OIC called on the international community, especially the UNSC, to assume its responsibilities to implement its resolutions and stop all settlement activities in all the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.
It also called for compelling ‘Israel’, the occupying power, to stop its continued violations of international law and resolutions and to ensure accountability for its continued crimes and aggressions against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.
