Occupied Palestine – Dozens of Palestinian people have been injured and many others detained during assaults by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers in several areas of occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that its crews have dealt with dozens of injuries from rubber-coated metal bullets, beatings, and pepper gas spraying.
It indicated that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers attacked their crew members in the vicinity of the Bab Al-Amoud area, while trying to provide treatment to the casualties.
In the same context, local sources reported that the extremist settlers attacked Palestinian businesses in different areas of the Old City and forced their owners to close them.
The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers assaulted women and youths for raising Palestinian flags as well.
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said that more than 50 Palestinians, including women and children, have been detained by the Israeli occupation forces since the early morning hours.
It’s noteworthy to mention that over 70,000 extremist Israeli settlers launched on Sunday the provocative flag march, heading to the Bab al-Amoud area and passing through the Old City.
