Thousands of Palestinians in Jenin mourned on Wednesday four Palestinian youths assassinated by Israeli occupation forces in a military raid into the Jenin refugee camp.
Yesterday, thousands of Palestinian mourners took part in the funeral procession of four slain Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces during an aggressive assault on the Jenin refugee camp, north of Jenin city.
On Wednesday morning, at approximately 9am (06:00 GMT), large numbers of Israeli occupation forces and military vehicles raided the Jenin refugee camp, fired in all directions and shot tear gas canisters towards residents while surrounding and bombing a house belonging to Fathi Hazem, the father of Ra’ed Hazem who was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces for allegedly killing three Israeli settlers in a shooting operation in occupied Tel Aviv on April 7.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that four Palestinian youths were killed, this morning, during the Israeli assualt on the Jenin refugee camp.
Two of them were identified as 27-year-old Abdelrhman Hazem, the brother of Ra’ad Hazem, and 30-year-old Mohammad al-Wanna; they were assassinated by Israeli special forces who surrounded Fathi Hazem’s house, in which the two were inside, in the Jenin refugee camp. During the military operation, the Israeli soldiers shot at the two youths inside the house and fired an anti-tank missile towards the house, causing a fire as plumes of smoke were seen after the missile exploded in the house.
Both Abdelrhman and his father are wanted by the Israeli occupation. The Israeli occupation army stated the target of the raid was Abdelrhman Hazem.
The third was identified as 26-year-old Ahmad Nazmi Alawneh who was shot dead in the head by an Israeli sniper while he was resisting the Israeli raid. Ahmad reportedly worked as a Palestinian Authority (PA) intelligence officer.

The fourth martyr was identified as Mohammad Abu Na’seh as he was shot dead by Israeli gunfire.
Confrontations erupted at midday. In addition to armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanging gunfire with the Israeli soldiers, young Palestinians threw rocks at the entrance to the Jenin refugee camp, which Israeli forces responded to with live bullets and tear gas canisters, injuring at least 44 people, many of them were reported to be in critical condition, according to the Health Ministry.
The West Bank city of Jenin has been the centre of Israeli aggressions and military operations since the few past months, with about 36 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the start of this year in Jenin alone, including Al Jazeera’s veteran journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
