Israeli occupation forces fatally shot on Friday afternoon the executor of Jerusalem’s car-ramming operation which resulted in the killing of two Israeli settlers and injuring five others.
Israeli media reported that two Israeli settlers have been killed and five others injured in the car-ramming operation which was carried out this afternoon in a bus stop at the entrance to the Ramot neighborhood by a Palestinian man, identified as Hussain Karaka, a 31-year-old resident of the Isawiya neighborhood of East Jerusalem.
Karaka was immediately shot and killed by the Israeli forces at the scene.
Friday’s operation comes amid a spike in Israeli violence against Palestinians since the beginning of the year.
More than 231 Palestinians were killed by ‘Israel’ in 2022, with the vast majority (173) killed in the West Bank. This year seems to usher in a similar trend as Israeli forces and settlers have already killed 43 Palestinians.
Moreover, the operation comes hours after Ahmad Abu Ali, a sick Palestinian prisoner and a father of nine, died in Israeli prisons due to Israel’s deliberate medical negligence.
