International Palestine Conference: An independent state of Palestine is the homeland of Palestinians is a just solution.

The International Palestine Conference titled “A roadmap to achieving the Peaceful and Just Solution of Palestine ” was held on Wednesday at a local hotel in Karachi organized by the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF).

In the conference, Consul Generals of various countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Russia, Morocco, Yemen, Jordan, Al-Jazair including Dr. June, Harman Hardianta, Hasan Noorian, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Mirza Akhtiar Baig, Stanislov Toporov and other political and religious figures of Pakistan were present.

The leader and Provincial Minister for Women affairs Shehla Raza was the chief guest in the International Palestine Conference.

In the conference, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Human Rights affairs Surinder Valasi, well-known defense analyst Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Shamim, Jamaat-e-Islami Central Vice Amir Liaquat Baloch, Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Central Vice Chairman Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi and Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr. Sabir abu Maryam spoke

Well-known journalist and anchorperson Owais Rabbani hosted the conference.

Presenting the beginning of the conference, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam said that Israel was a creation of British Imperialism, a police state to control West Asia & North Africa, as well as to secure the Suez Canal, so as to ensure control over their Colony in the Sub-Continent.

And now, Israel is sustained by US Imperialism, its lackeys in Europe and certain Arab & Muslim collaborator regimes, which is indeed shameful. But the recent football world cup in Qatar proved the fact that, despite the regimes supporting Israel, the people of the Arab nations stand with Palestine. Apart from Argentina, the other winner of the world cup was certainly Palestine!!

Dr Sabir said that, Another reason for the creation of Israel was the crisis of Protestant Christianity & Christian Zionism, in the 19th century, which in turn led to the emergence of Jewish Zionism. Here the victims are this is a topic that we must understand, and we will organise a different seminar later.

Let us be clear that Israel & Zionism lie at the very core of the US-NATO led wars, especially in West Asia & North Africa. Thus the unholy triumvirate of Israel-US-NATO must be defeated.

Be it the War on Iraq in 1990, and post 9-11 again in 2002, where both Iraq & Afghanistan were attacked, or Libya in 2011, Syria in 2011-2012, the wars against Yemen, the wars against Lebanon, Wars imposed on Gaza, the sanctions against Iran – are all part of the Zionist imperialist wars of aggression. They are a threat to world peace. He added:

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam said that there should be a referendum that should be organised in historic Palestine. We support the Palestinian Right of Return.

There may soon come a day when Millions of Palestinians gather on the borders of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan & Egypt – and say that it’s time to go home. So when those millions of Palestinians decide to go back home, braving the Israeli guns and bullets, I will be there to join them and I’m sure that you will as well.

The Palestine problem is the result of the domination of Zionism. He said that Zionism is actually the root of the problem. He added:

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam said that Western governments and their agents are engaged in conspiracies against Islam and they want to present Islam as an enemy of other religions, while Islam is a religion of peace and security and Islamic teachings on the issue of Palestine. According to him, we are not the enemies of the Jews, but we are against the political decision which the British and American colonialists made against Palestine and gave birth to the existence of Israel on the Palestinian land. Therefore, Israel is a usurper and an illegitimate state.

Speaking at the conference, Chief Guest Provincial Minister Shehla Raza said that the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had said that Pakistan will never recognize Israel.

International human rights organizations are silent on the atrocities in Palestine. She added

Honorary Consul of Yemen Mirza Akhtiar Baig addressed the conference and said that it is a good time to resolve the Palestinian issue and that we should support the people of Palestine through a comprehensive resolution. He stressed on highlighting the Palestinian issue. Emphasizing on international networking according to the requirements of the time, he said that we support a fair and peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue, whose main axis is the Palestinian people. He said that Palestine is the homeland of the Palestinians.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch said that the international forces are silent on the oppression of the people of Palestine and Kashmir, they should raise their voice on the issue of Palestine and Kashmir beyond political interests. That the international community must recognize the rights of the Palestinian people, otherwise it is impossible to establish peace in the world including the region. He said that the United Nations has lost its trust. He praised Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Allama Maududi and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for supporting Palestine and said that today we need the same position at the government level for the Palestinian cause which was adopted by the founders of Pakistan.

Speaking at the International Palestine Conference, Indonesia’s Consul General Dr. June said that Israeli atrocities in Palestine are inhumane. Today, the Palestinian issue has gained global importance. He said that the Palestinian issue has a central geopolitical position. He said that Indonesia fully supports the establishment of a free and democratic state of Palestine.

Speaking at the conference, Consul General of Iran Hassan Noorian said that Imam Khomeini called the Zionist state of Israel established in Palestine as a cancer in the heart of the Muslim Ummah. He said that until this cancer ends, the original disease will not be cured. He further said that the Palestinian resistance will be successful soon and the freedom of Palestine is certain. He appreciated the efforts for the just solution of Palestine and said that for the peaceful and just solution of Palestine it is necessary to make a united and joint effort.

Speaking at the Palestine Conference, PTI leader Firdous Shamim said that we all have to play our own role to solve the Palestine problem. He said that if we do not rise to help our Palestinian brothers today, no one will rise to help us tomorrow. He said that the problem of Palestine requires a peaceful solution which should be according to the aspirations of the Palestinian people. He strongly condemned the one hundred years of atrocities on Palestine. He said that it is our responsibility to convey information about the Palestine issue to every human being and tell them that the British colonialists are the ones who created this issue. The Palestine issue is a serious and human problem for which a fair solution is indispensable. Now is the time for the Muslim Ummah to stand up with its unity and take steps to solve the issues like Palestine and Kashmir.

Speaking at the conference, Moroccan Honorary Consul Mirza Ishtiaq Baig said that the International Palestine Conference will definitely be an important milestone for the solution of the Palestinian issue. He added that Morocco supports the Palestinian people and during the Football World Cup in Qatar, Moroccan players celebrated their victory by waving Palestinian flags.

Malaysian Consul General Herman Hardianta, speaking at the conference, said that Malaysia supports Palestine and we will never establish relations with Israel. He added that Malaysia strongly condemns Israeli atrocities and we will always have been helping the Palestinian people and will continue to do so. He also informed about the details of various aid activities including the scholarship program for Palestinian students on behalf of the Malaysian government.

Brigadier Haris Nawaz, a well-known defense analyst, said that for the solution of the Palestine issue, we all have to unite and fight with full force, and for this work, all the fifty-seven Islamic countries must have a strong and powerful effective platform. He said that unity is the most important need of the era and billions of dollars are being spent to destroy this unity. He said that this is the purpose of America coming to Afghanistan and Iraq. The region should be controlled and Iran should also be monitored. He said that it is unfortunate that the rulers of some Arab states are establishing relations with Israel.

 Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi, in his address at the Palestine Conference, said that the people of the country are with their oppressed Palestinian people, recognizing Israel is recognizing India’s domination over Kashmir, the role of Arab countries in solving the Palestine issue is criminal, Arab countries that recognize the Isarel is a betrayal with the Muslim Ummah. He declared his support for the Palestinian resistance at all levels. The dream of Greater Israel has been shattered, Israel has become a victim of isolation and has built walls around itself.

In the International Palestine Conference, the members of the Patron Committee of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), Mahfouz Yar Khan, Maulana Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Maulana Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Muslim Parvez,  Younis Boniri, Israr Abbasi, Qazi Zahid Hussain and Hindu leader Manoj Chauhan Younis Barai of Jamaat-e-Islami, an International Relations expert Dr. Talat Wezarat, Col (R) Muhammad tahir, PTV anchor person Shazia Khan, famous economist Dr. Tariq Kaleem, famous actor Ayub Khoso, President of Karachi Bar Association Aamir Saleem, General Secretary Waqar. Abbasi, chief editor of daily Nai Baat Maqsood Yousufi, journalist of daily Jang Muhammad Askari, Ali Kamran, chief editor of Voice of Karachi Farhan Chauhan, Dr. Sadaf Mustafa, Ali Wasif, and a large number of students from different universities participated.
