Youth should raise their voices for Palestine and Kashmir. Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam

After the University of Karachi, the Palestine Seminar was organized in the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University

Karachi (Palestine Information Centre) After a grand seminar on the subject of Palestine and Kashmir in Karachi University, the largest academic institution in Karachi, a seminar was held on the importance of the Palestine issue and the future of Kashmir under the auspices of the Department of International Relations at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Lyari in Karachi.

The Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, addressed the seminar as the chief guest while Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Head of Department of International Relations, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Lyari, hosted the seminar.

Addressing the seminar, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam shed light on the history, importance and political and economic importance of the Palestinian issue, while also highlighting the importance of the Palestinian land according to religious beliefs.

He also explained the basis of Zionism for establishment and the causes of two world wars in the world. Highlighting the negative role of the American, British and French governments’ as they were active for the occupation of Palestine, he also described dark deeds like Sykes-Picot and Balfour Declaration against Palestine.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam also exposed the lies and myths spread by the Zionist lobby in the societies related to the Palestine issue in front of the young students and told the large number of Jews across the world having belief that Israel is an illegitimate state of Zionists in Palestine. They consider the establishment of the state of Israel as illegitimate. They said that opposition to the illegitimate state of Israel and its persecution does not mean opposition to the Jewish religion. Because even Jews do not recognize Israel, is it anti-Semitic? He explained.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam also informed the students about the anti-Palestinian activities of the American and British citizens in Pakistan, including Noor Dahri and Anila Ali. Recently, at a private school in Karachi the students expressed their questions and anger on the issue of hoisting the Israeli flag in which the Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan gave a detailed discussion on the Zionist conspiracies against Pakistan and the hoisting of the Israeli flag in educational institutions. He termed the actions as anti-national activity.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam described a strong relationship between Pakistan and the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah with the cause of Palestine in the light of historical facts and evidence, and narrated the history of continuous support since 1920 and told the students that Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jannah along with the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan, he was also supporting for Palestine at same time. On March 23, 1940, the resolution for Palestine was presented along with the resolution of Pakistan. The pilots of the Pakistan Air Force flew to Jordan and Syria in the Arab-Israeli wars in 1967 and 1973. He said that Israel considers Pakistan as its biggest enemy in the world. He said that the defense of Palestine is actually the defense of Pakistan.

Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan also informed the students about the detailed evidence and history related to American conspiracies against Pakistan.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam called the cold attitude of the government on the Kashmir issue a question mark. He said that the United States, acting as a mediator in the Kashmir issue, gave a message to Pakistan to forget Kashmir now, but the people of Pakistan do not support any such wrong decision of the government. He said that the anti-national elements who have created a soft corner for Israel in Pakistan after American pressure aim to hollow out Pakistan and at the same time withdraw from Kashmir. He said that the new generations should take responsibility to keep the issues of Kashmir and Palestine in the main priorities and crush the ambitions of the enemy. He supported the opinion of the Kashmiri people and the right of self-determination for the solution of the Kashmir issue and said that Kashmir’s people should be allowed to decide freely what they want to do and the whole world including Pakistan and India should respect that decision.

He supported the Palestinian people’s right of return and the Palestinian people’s referendum in Palestine for a fair solution to the Palestinian issue and demanded the international community to give up the double standard and allow the Palestinian people to return to their homeland to decide the future of Palestine through a referendum.

In the seminar, he also provided information to the students about the Palestinian resistance, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other political and religious groups, and also explained the role of the Lebanese National Resistance Hezbollah in Lebanon in the failure of Israel’s Greater Israel plan. He also described the events of Israel’s defeat against Hamas in occupied Palestine and in Lebanon by Hezbollah in 2000 & 2006.

Dr. Sabir Abu Mariam also described the weak government of Israel and the signs of Israel’s decline and said that in the last three years, Israel has changed governments five times, while in the current situation, the Zionist settlers have come out against the Zionist government. Israel is burning. Israel is shrinking in terms of security. Israel wanted to expand its borders, but at the moment it is limiting its security by building more walls after walls, due to which Israel has been continuously reduced to a small area.

The students showed great interest in the seminar and asked dozens of questions. At the end of the seminar, Nisar Ahmed, incharge of the International Relations Department, thanked Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam and presented him with a bouquet including a shield, while on this occasion, the Palestine Foundation’s Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam also presented a Palestinian symbol of Palestinian resistance scarf to Nisar Ahmed. Certificates were also distributed among the students at the end.
