A Palestinian teenager was fatally shot on Friday afternoon by the Israeli occupation forces in the village of Tuqu, southeast of the southern occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that confrontations erupted this afternoon between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers at the western entrance of Tuqu village, where the Israeli soldiers fired live bullets, teargas canisters, and stun grenades at the residents of the village, shooting and critically injuring a teenager in the chest, WAFA correspondent said.
The teenager, who was identified as 15-year-old Mustafa Amer Sabbah, was critically shot in the chest by the Israeli soldiers, and he was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
At least 106 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces so far this year, including an elderly woman and 19 children, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
During the first quarter of 2023, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces was almost four times higher than during the same period in 2022 (22), according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
