Head of Hamas’s Arab and Islamic Affairs Department Khalil Al-Hayya has sent a letter to the Arab and Western ministers of foreign affairs and UN bodies to brief them on the consequences of the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
Al-Hayya explained that the Israeli occupation forces killed 13 Palestinians on May 9th in pre-dawn airstrikes on residential buildings, noting that most of the victims were women and children.
“This crime has brought the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since the start of 2023 to 134,” Al-Hayaa added.
The senior Hamas official explained that the Israeli occupation authority does not respect ceasefire agreements reached through mediators.
Al-Hayya called on the Arab countries to bear the responsibility towards the Palestinian people and work towards holding Israel accountable for its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
“We are looking forward to your contribution to achieving peace and stability in the region and to your endeavors to end the last occupation in the world,” Al-Hayya concluded.
Over 24 Gazans have been killed and dozens others have suffered injuries in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, which started on Tuesday morning.
