The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that eight Palestinian students were killed and dozens suffered different injuries and traumas during the last Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Thursday, the ministry added that 44 schools and kindergartens sustained different levels of damage during the aggression.
The ministry affirmed that the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza affected all aspects of life in Gaza, including the educational sector, accusing the Israeli occupation state of violating the Palestinian children’s right to life through killing and injuring them, detaining them and displacing them.
The ministry appealed to the international community and its human rights organizations to condemn and curb the Israeli violations that are committed against Palestinian children, students and educational facilities, and to work bringing Israeli war criminals to international justice.
