An Israeli court has extended the administrative detention of senior Hamas official Abdul-Jabbar Jarrar, from Jenin, for an additional four months.
According to his wife, this was the fifth time an Israeli court extended Jarrar’s administrative detention.
His wife, WAFA Jarrar, also said that her husband was supposed to be released today, but an Israeli military court approved a request for the extension of his detention.
She pointed out that the Israeli high court of Justice had previously ordered the Israeli intelligence not to extend his administrative detention.
She also said that her husband suffered from hypertension and was transferred to the prison’s infirmary after he was notified of the Israeli decision to extend his detention.
Jarrar was kidnaped by the Israeli occupation forces on February 15, 2022, only 83 days after his release from an Israeli jail where he had spent one year in administrative detention.
