ISLAMABAD (The Palestine Information Centre) On the invitation of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), the Palestinian delegation on a visit to Pakistan took special part in the meeting of the Milli Yakjehti Council of Pakistan in Islamabad and addressed the religious leadership of Pakistan.
The Palestinian delegation was led by the leader of Islamic Jihad of Palestine, Syed Al-Baraka, while he was accompanied by the President of the Palestinian Ulema Council, Sheikh Adeeb Yasirji, the Secretary General of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine, Sheikh Yusuf Abbas, and the Secretary General of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam was present.
President of the Milli Yakjehti Council of Pakistan Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair and the central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch welcomed the Palestinian delegation. On this occasion, Allama Arif Wahidi of Shia Ulema Council, Nasir Shirazi of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, Mian Muhammad Aslam of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mufti Marafat Shah, Hafiz Zubair Zafar, Pir Ghulam Rasool Owaisi, Mufti Gulzar Naimi, Dr. Ali Abbas, Hafiz Abdul Ghafar, Pir Mansoor Geelani, Syed Osama Bukhari, Abdullah Hameed Gul, Asadullah Bhutto, Syed Nisar Tirmizi, Javed Kasuri, Sardar Atiq, Qazi Shafiq, Dr. Khalid, Waheeduddin Shah, Allama Ramzan Tauqeer and others were present.
Palestinian leaders said that Israel is afraid of the unity and solidarity of Pakistan’s religious leadership. They said that the Zionist regime of Israel is not only the enemy of Palestine, but all the Islamic countries of the world, including Pakistan. They said that today Israel is conspiring against Pakistan along with India.
We are satisfied to see the unity among all religious groups and we believe that this unity will play a positive role in the liberation of Palestine.
At the end of the ceremony, the Palestinian delegation presented a gift of Palestine scarf to all the religious leaders and presented a special sign of Palestine to the president of the Milli Yakjehti Council of Pakistan, Dr. Abu-ul-Khair Zubair.
