GAZA, (The Palestine Information Centre)Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has affirmed that the Palestinian factions’ general secretaries meeting held recently in Cairo yielded no results, adding that the participants did not discuss any issues or files during the meeting.
In remarks to the al-Ghad satellite channel on Tuesday, Abu Marzouk accused external parties of obstructing Palestinian efforts to execute what had been agreed upon by the factions regarding the national reconciliation.
The Hamas official underscored that it is important for Israel and the US to retain the inter-Palestinian division.
“Hamas has no problem with the elections and is ready to make more concessions than they expect from us,” he said, adding that his “Movement is willing to join the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), provided that it is rebuilt.”
He revealed that the Palestinian Authority (PA) had rejected the establishment of an electricity project for Gaza for $100 million, funded by the Islamic Development Bank, expressing his belief that the PA is behind all the problems in Gaza.
