OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Hamas Movement has accused the Israeli occupation state of waging a ferocious war on all aspects of the Jerusalemite citizens’ life and threatening their identity, existence, and their right to their holy city.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas spokesman Mohamed Hamada said that “in addition to its war on the Aqsa Mosque and the Jerusalemite neighborhoods, the occupation state launched a war on the Palestinian educational sector in the holy city.”
Hamada said that the occupation state seeks to Israelize Palestinian education in an attempt to change the awareness of generations, and works on reducing the quality of the educational service the Jerusalemite children and young people receive in order to force them to stop going to their schools.
The spokesman added that the occupation state also deprives the Jerusalemite schools of any development and restoration projects if their administrations refuse to accept the Israeli educational plans.
He expressed his belief that the Jerusalemite citizens would continue to oppose the Israeli educational plans despite the challenges, and called for pooling the efforts to support the Jerusalemites and their steadfastness on their land.
