RAMALLAH, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished Ain Samia School, which serves a number of Bedouin communities east of Ramallah, on Thursday morning.
The General Supervisor of Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Malihat, affirmed that the Israeli bulldozers demolished Ain Samia School in a flagrant violation of international conventions.
He stressed that the demolition of Ain Samia School came as part of the Israeli terrorism practiced against the Palestinian people, which threatens their right to a safe and stable education.
He added that the school demolition reflects the Israeli deliberate targeting of Palestinian children, students, educational cadres, and educational institutions in total disregard for international laws and norms.
Malihat also emphasized the necessity of an immediate response from all international and human rights organizations in order to support Palestinian Bedouin communities’ right to education.
The European-funded Ain Samia School was built on privately owned land donated by a Palestinian citizen from the town of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah, on January 15, 2022, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
