OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)A Palestinian young man died of injuries he sustained by Israeli gunfire during the 2021 Aqsa Mosque raid.
Hamza Abu Sneineh, 30, was injured by a rubber bullet during Tarawih prayers in Ramadan 2021 when Israeli police forces violently stormed the Aqsa Mosque, causing him multiple skull fractures and complete damage to his left eye.
At that time, he was transferred to Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital before being detained despite his difficult health situation. A few days later, he was released.
Abu Sneina suffered from severe pains over the past months before his health situation seriously deteriorated a few weeks ago, and he breathed his last on Thursday night.
Abu Sneina is married and the father of two girls. He lives in Issawiya town in Occupied Jerusalem.
Early on Friday, the martyr was laid to rest amid pro-resistance and anti-occupation sloganeering in the local graveyard.
The Israeli forces were deployed in large numbers during the martyr’s funeral.
