OCCUPIED JERUSALEM(The Palestine Information Centre)Israeli police forces stormed the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall, one of the prayer halls of the Aqsa Mosque, on Friday morning.
A big mess was left following the raid, Jerusalemite sources said.
The Islamic Endowments Department confirmed that Israeli forces forced their way into the Bab Al-Rahma chapel without removing their military shoes and confiscated some items belonging to the worshipers.
Commenting on the incident, Hamas spokesman for Occupied Jerusalem Muhammad Hamada said that the Israeli forces’ attack on Bab al-Rahma prayer hall is a new crime that came as part of the Israeli religious war against Jerusalem and Aqsa.
“Our people will not stand idly by in the face of Israeli plans against Aqsa. The occupation will fail, and our people’s will be the victorious.”
Hamada hailed the Palestinian worshipers who performed the Dawn prayer at Aqsa Mosque, stressing the importance of intensifying the Palestinian presence in the holy site, especially in light of the increasing settler threats to carry out a mass incursion during the upcoming Jewish holiday.
