OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)Israeli police arrested the Palestinian activist Samah Mahamid in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday.
Local sources underlined that the Israeli authorities extended activist Mahamid’s detention after interrogating her.
Palestinian activists, especially in Occupied Jerusalem, continue to resist the Israeli authorities’ Judaization schemes despite the harassment they are subjected to on a daily basis in the holy city.
Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the Aqsa Intifada that was ignited by the former Israeli premier Ariel Sharon’s desecration of the holy Aqsa Mosque.
The Hamas Movement said, in a statement on the occasion, that comprehensive resistance is the strategic option for the Palestinian people to liberate their occupied lands and holy sites.
The Movement stressed that the Palestinian people will be united and supportive of resistance while confronting the Israeli occupation.
“The Aqsa Mosque will always be a place of worship for Muslims only,” the Movement asserted, adding that the Israeli occupation will fail to impose its hegemony on the holy Islamic site.
Palestinian citizens continue to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque in addition to escalating their resistance activities in response to the continued Israeli Judaization plans and Jewish settlers’ attacks
