WEST BANK, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) imposed a general closure on the border crossings into Gaza and the West Bank for two days under the pretext of the Simhat Torah holiday.
Coordinator of Israeli Government Activities in the Palestinian Territories, Ghassan Alian, said in a statement that a comprehensive closure will be imposed on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the Simhat Torah holiday based on “an instruction by the political echelon.”
The general closure will take place from midnight on Friday until midnight on Saturday.
IOA often imposes a closure on the West Bank on holidays and tightly tightens Palestinian freedom of movement.
