GAZA, (The Palestine Information Centre)For the 10th consecutive day, Israel’s massive carnage continues to run rampant and claim more lives in the Gaza Strip as its army persists in bombing more homes and neighborhoods and massacring civilians, including medical and civil defense personnel.
According to the health ministry in Gaza, the death toll in Gaza climbed to 2,750 martyrs and the number of injured to 9,700 as the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb different areas of Gaza on Monday morning.
Half of those killed are women and 1,000 others are children, while 2,450 children and 1,536 women are among the wounded civilians.
The Palestinian civil defense, for its part, said that more than 1,000 people are missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings, including martyrs and injured.
Over the last few hours, Israeli warplanes reportedly carried out hundreds of barbaric raids and committed more massacres after they reduced many homes to rubble over the heads of their residents.
In the latest field developments, the interior ministry in Gaza said that five citizens were martyred and at least 15 others were injured in an Israeli attack on a multi-story house in Rafah, south of Gaza.
Two citizens were also killed and 11 others suffered injuries in another aerial attack on a house belonging to the family of Abu Baraka in Qizan al-Najjar area in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza.
An unknown number of casualties were reported when an Israeli warplane bombed the house of al-Daher family in Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army also massacred over 20 civilians after bombing a house belonging to the family of Shaer in southern Khan Yunis.
Palestinian preacher Wael al-Zard, a noted religious figure in Gaza, was proclaimed dead today after he succumbed to serious injuries he sustained during an Israeli attack on his house a few days ago.
Israeli airstrikes on homes also killed four civilians, including three children, in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza and two others in al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
Five members of a civil defense crew were reportedly killed and others were injured when a warplane bombed their headquarters in al-Tuffah neighborhood in the east of Gaza City.
According to the local authorities in Gaza, every member of over 60 families, made up of 600 civilians, were killed entirely in Israeli massacres.
Dozens of civilians were also killed and injured in Israeli attacks on different areas of Gaza on Monday morning and later in the afternoon.
In a related context, the Government Media Office in Gaza said on Monday that “a quarter of Gaza’s population is now homeless after being forcibly displaced from their homes due to bombings and airstrikes, with many seeking shelter in temporary accommodations with relatives.”
“The retrieval of martyrs’ bodies is facing significant challenges due to the lack of necessary tools and equipment to remove the rubble. Hundreds of martyrs remain buried beneath the debris of their homes, which were bombed without prior warning,” the Media Office added.
The Media Office called for the swift delivery of relief and humanitarian aid, including medicines, medical supplies and rescue equipment, to retrieve bodies of victims and save others who are trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses.
