GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Telecommunication services have been cut off in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian telecoms company Paltel has said, as the Israeli occupation army intensified its attacks on the besieged coastal territory.
“We regret to announce the complete cessation of the communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip, as the main paths that were previously reconnected were disconnected again,” Paltel said in a statement on Monday.
Ooredoo, other providers of mobile phone services, issued similar statements.
This communication blackout is the fourth since October, and could be the most prolonged, at a time when hunger, thirst and disease are spreading quickly among Gaza’s 2.3 million residents, already battered by weeks of brutal Israeli bombardments and ground fighting.
