OCCUPIED JERUSALEM(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Hamas Movement stressed that Al-Aqsa Flood Battle is continuing what was started in the Intifada until the termination of the Israeli occupation, the liberation of Palestine and the return of all displaced Palestinians.
Hamas said, in a statement on Friday, “The 36th anniversary of the Intifada, which was launched on December 8, 1987, coincides with the Israeli Nazi aggression that is being relentlessly waged against our people in the besieged Gaza Strip for more than two months without achieving any of its goals due to the steadfastness of our people and the confrontation of Al-Qassam Brigades.”
The statement mourned the martyrs and hailed Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, and other resistance movements as well as all of the Palestinian people for their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation plans of displacement, stressing the legitimacy of the Palestinian people’s rights to resist the occupation and to defend their land and sanctities.
Hamas reiterated its refusal of the projects of settlement and normalization with Israel which constitute a threat to the security and stability of the Islamic and Arab nation.
The Movement renewed its calls for frequenting Al-Aqsa Mosque to defy the Israeli violations and attempts to take it over, calling on all the youth across the West Bank and occupied territories in 1948 to take to the streets and participate in clashes with Israeli occupation forces and settlers in defense of their land and in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
It also urged Muslims and Arabs and the free people around the world to continue their activism in solidarity with the Palestinian people and take part in international massive pro-Palestine rallies and protests in support of the legitimate Palestinian cause.
