GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Colombian President Gustavo Petro has said that the world must “block” Netanyahu, after Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians waiting for food assistance in northern Gaza.
“Asking for food, more than 100 Palestinians were killed by Netanyahu. This is called genocide and is reminiscent of the Holocaust, even if the world powers don’t like to recognize it,” Petro, who has been an outspoken critic of Israel’s war in Gaza, said in a social media post.
“The world must block Netanyahu. Colombia suspends all purchases of weapons from Israel.”
For his part, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced the call for mobilizations on X stating “Cuba joins the global mobilization this March 2 in support of Palestine.”
”In all of the provinces and in Havana, we will be on the streets in solidarity with our brotherly people and to condemn the holocaust that Israel seeks to provoke in Rafah. Everyone for Gaza!” he said in a social media post.
Along the same line, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro paid tribute to the sacrifice made by Aaron Bushnell, the US airman who self-immolated outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, to bring attention to the plight of the Palestinian people.
“We call on the conscience of the entire world to stop this genocide. How can it be that we have to see someone, a soldier, a young man, immolate himself in order to denounce something as horrific as genocide,” said Maduro during his weekly television program
