Beirut (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The two-day international support for Palestine conference titled “Al-Wad al-Haq Bunyan Al-Marsoos” held in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, the top religious scholars and grand muftis of the Muslim world urged the Muslim and Arab rulers who are lax in supporting the Palestinian issue. It has been said that the rulers of the Muslim world and especially the Arab world should not neglect to help the oppressed people of Palestine.
The two-day International Palestine Conference was presided over by the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, in the Grand Mufti of Syria, Mufti Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun, the top religious leader of Iraq, Mufti Sheikh Mahdi Samidi, and the Palestinian resistance movements, including the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, Lebanon Sheikh Naeem Qasim, Osama Hamdan, leader of Hamas, Islamic Jihad Vice President Muhammad Al-Hindi and Mufti Gulzar Ahmad Naeemi of Pakistan were present.
Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam also participated in the conference of scholars and muftis from around the world in support of Palestinian resistance.
While issuing the closing statement of the conference, the clerics and Grand Muftis said that all the Muslim and Arab countries that have relations with Israel should end their relations immediately, Israel is an illegitimate state.
They called on the governments of the Muslim world to put aside laziness and indifference and include the aid of the Palestinian people as a priority.
They strongly condemned the criminal silence on the issue of Palestine by the rulers of the Muslim world.
Hundreds of clerics gathered in support of the Palestinian resistance unanimously declared that it is illegitimate to have relations and trade with the despotic Zionist government that is genocidal to the Palestinians in Gaza.
They demanded from the rulers of the Arab and Muslim world that they should cut off the supply of oil and gas to Israel immediately.
The participants of the conference announced their full support for Yemen’s actions against the ongoing Zionist aggression in Gaza and the resistance movements in the region, including Hamas in Palestine, Islamic Jihad, Hizbullah in Lebanon.
They also announced their support for Yemen’s Ansarullah and other groups, including Hashd al-Shaabi in Iraq.
