SANA’A (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Yemen’s armed forces announced at dawn Tuesday that they targeted a US-owned ship in the Red Sea with multiple naval missiles.
“The Yemeni army’s naval forces, with the help of Allah Almighty, carried out a targeting operation against the American ship ‘Pinocchio’ in the Red Sea with several appropriate naval missiles, and the strike was accurate, thanks to God,” Yemeni army spokesperson Yehya Sariee said in a statement.
Sariee affirmed the Yemeni armed forces would escalate their operations during the holy month of Ramadan in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance in the Gaza Strip.
In a related context, different international media outlets said that the Yemeni missiles did not impact Pinocchio and there were no casualties or damage reported.
The Ansarullah group and its armed forces in northern Yemen started their attacks on international shipping in mid-November last year in an attempt to put an end to the Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
Despite attacks from the US-British coalition and other navies, the Houthis have escalated their campaign of attacks on “Israel-owned or Israel-bound” vessels in one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
