WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A number of Palestinian citizens were kidnapped last night and at dawn Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided homes during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped Asma Harish, a noted female journalist and activist, from her home in Beitunia town, west of Ramallah. She is the daughter of prisoner Noah Harish.
The IOF also stormed Qibya town in western Ramallah and kidnaped the mother of martyr Ahmed Yassin Ghaidan and her sons Abdul-Hadi and Suleiman from their home.
Two other young citizens were taken prisoners during the same IOF raid in Qibya town, while two brothers from the family of al-Faransi were kidnapped from their home in Al-Balou neighborhood in Bireh City.
Other local sources in Ramallah said that the IOF kidnaped 15 Gazans during a raid in al-Masyoun neighborhood in Ramallah City.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces stormed al-Maslakh street in the city and kidnaped a young man from his home.
The IOF also raided homes and fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades during a campaign in the towns of Azzun and Kafr Qaddum in Qalqilya.
In Tubas, a large number of Israel troops stormed Fari’ah refugee camp and bulldozed roads and infrastructure, amid armed clashes with resistance fighters.
Resistance fighters reportedly attacked the Israeli forces in Fari’ah camp with some explosive devices, damaging one of their vehicles.
In Nablus, two young men were kidnaped following IOF raids on homes in different areas of Nablus City.
Local sources in Nablus City said that Israeli forces encircled an apartment building in al-Taawun street and detonated a bomb inside it. There was no information about arrests or clashes with resistance fighters during the IOF raid on the building.
In Jenin, violent clashes broke out between local youths and Israeli soldiers in Zububa town.
In Bethlehem, the IOF kidnaped a young man from his home in Husan town and raided a house in Beit Fajjar town.
In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped two young men from al-Arroub refugee camp and stormed Beit Ummar town and Dura City.
In east Jerusalem, Israeli police forces kidnaped two young men from Hizma town and six others from Shuafat refugee camp, amid skirmishes with local youths.
