DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Senior Hamas official Husam Badran has said that Mahmoud Abbas, chief of the Palestinian Authority, disrupted the factional meeting that was slated to be held in China, stressing that Abbas continues to pursue his monopoly policy in the Palestinian arena.
In press remarks on Monday, Badran said that Abbas informed the Chinese side of his refusal to participate in the expanded meeting without providing any logical reasons and without holding discussions in this regard with other factions.
Badran said his Movement had responded positively to an invitation by China to participate in talks aimed at healing the national rift in the Palestinian arena and dealt responsibly with its efforts in this regard.
The Hamas official highlighted the importance of holding the expanded national meeting in China and the right of all Palestinian parties to participate in this meeting.
