WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Jewish settler died in a shooting operation on Tuesday near the “Har Brakh” settlement, illegally built on the lands of Burin and Kafr Qalil towns in Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Hebrew media sources said that a settler was shot in the chest near Nablus, and later announced his death.
The Israeli forces claimed that the settler was shot from a long distance near Nablus, and is believed to be a Palestinian sniper.
Following the operation, the Israeli forces carried out extensive search operations in the vicinity of the illegal settlement and closed all the surrounding military checkpoints.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted in Al-Quds Street in Nablus after being violently stormed by Israeli troops.
The Palestinian Red Crescent affirmed that a 21-year-old young man was shot and injured during the clashes.
