NAZARETH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli Supreme Planning Committee of the Israeli Civil Administration intends to approve the construction of 5,300 new settlement units in the West Bank on Wednesday and Thursday.
Israeli Channel 7 revealed that some of the new settlement units are going to be constructed in the illegal outposts of Alon Moreh in Nablus, (186 settlement units), Kiryat Arba in Al-Khalil, (240 units), and Neria in Ramallah, (435 units).
The channel reported that the new approved settlement units rose to more than 24,000 units during the past 18 months.
