GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center)“We, the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas, affirm our rejection of any plans, projects, or proposals that seek to bypass the Palestinian will regarding the future of the Gaza Strip. We also reject any statements or positions that support plans to bring foreign forces into the Strip under any name or justification,” a statement for Hamas on Friday said.
It added, “The administration of the Gaza Strip after repelling this fascist aggression is a purely Palestinian matter, agreed upon by our Palestinian people in all their diversity. They will not allow guardianship or the imposition of any external solutions or equations that detract from their principles based on their absolute right to gain freedom and self-determination.”
“We call on all Arab and Islamic countries to pressure the cessation of the Zionist genocide against our Palestinian people and provide all means of support and assistance in their struggle to defend their existence on their land, and to fulfill their commitments towards our people, their land, and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, which are being desecrated by the fascist settler criminal gangs,” the Hamas statement concluded.
For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) stressed its rejection of the deployment of international forces in Gaza, affirming that the Palestinian people, and none else, would decide the future of Gaza.
The PFLP said in a statement on Friday that it absolutely rejects the statement by Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan that supported the deployment of international troops in Gaza.
It said that Arab and foreign efforts should focus instead on halting the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave, return of the displaced, reconstruction of the Strip, and ending the siege.
