TULKAREM Palestine Foundation Pakistan Five Palestinian citizens were martyred on Saturday morning when an Israeli drone bombed a car near Zeita town, northeast of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out an aerial attack on a car carrying five young men on the road between the towns of Attil and Zeita, killing all of them.
According to medical sources at the Thabet Thabet Hospital, the young men’s bodies were burned and charred beyond recognition, except for one who was identified as 25-year-old Haitham Nouruddin Balidi from Tulkarem refugee camp.
Following the airstrike, Israeli forces stormed and cordoned off the scene, preventing a civil defense crew and residents from approaching the car to put out the fire.
However, medics and residents managed to transfer the bodies to the hospital.
Soon later, the IOF stormed the western area of Tulkarem City and bulldozed public and private property, including roads and cars, especially near the Mourabitoun Mosque and the court complex.
Meanwhile, a one-day general strike has been declared in Tulkarem province in mourning for the martyrs.
