NEW YORK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) UNRWA has warned that the humanitarian situation in the occupied West Bank deteriorates day after day due to the silent war that is waged by Israeli forces on the Palestinian citizens there.
“The situation in the West Bank is worsening daily. Nur Shams and Tulkarem camps are suffering from water shortages and electricity outages,” UNRWA said on its X page on Friday.
“Israeli security forces’ operations continue causing destruction and threatening the lives of people in the area. This ‘silent war’ has to end,” UNRWA emphasized.
Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, in the midst of near-daily deadly Israeli raids and strikes.
At least 592 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 5,400 others injured by Israeli gunfire and attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem since last October.
