GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The health ministry in Gaza said on Monday that the Israeli occupation army committed two massacres in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, killing at least 40 citizens and injuring 71 others.
The Ministry said in its daily update that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression, which started on October 7 last year, climbed to 39,623 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 91,469.
“A number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads as ambulance and civil defense crews have been prevented by Israeli occupation forces from approaching them,” it added.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) handed over 84 bodies of the martyrs who had been kidnapped from graves in the Gaza Strip.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Gaza announced that it has received the bodies of 84 martyrs through the Karm Abu Salem crossing.
Medical sources said that the bodies were buried in a mass grave in the Turkish Cemetery in the Austrian neighborhood, southwest of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The medical sources indicated that this is the third batch of martyr bodies that has been handed over by the IOF to the ICRC since the start of the genocide war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
Medical sources stated then that some of the bodies were decomposed, and that inspections indicated the theft of some of the martyrs’ organs.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has launched a war on the Gaza Strip resulting in tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded and missing, in addition to the displacement of two million people and a massive destruction of homes and infrastructures, which affected more than 70% of the buildings in the coastal enclave, amid a tight siege, a suffocating humanitarian crisis, and an unprecedented famine, especially in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
