GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi has described the assassination of Ismail Haneyya, the leader of the Hamas Movement, in the Iranian capital Iran as a violation of the United Nations Charter.
Yi, in a telephone contact with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdulati strongly condemned the assassination of Haneyya, according to a Chinese foreign ministry statement on Wednesday.
The assassination “leads to further escalation” and has pushed the region into a “more dangerous” situation, warned Yi.
“The key to avoiding the deterioration and escalation of the situation is to achieve a comprehensive and permanent cease-fire in Gaza as soon as possible,” said Yi.
Israel has killed and wounded more than 131,000 Palestinians since it launched its vicious war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, last year; other than 10,000 missing, vast destruction and wide spread famine.
