GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Senior Hamas official Ezzat al-Resheq has accused the Israeli occupation army of fabricating claims and lies in order to justify its crimes against displaced families at Gaza’s shelter centers, affirming that the Palestinian resistance in Gaza follows a “strict policy of not being present among civilians.”
In a statement on Saturday, Resheq said that there were no resistance fighters or commanders inside the Tabin School as the Israeli army claimed.
“The resistance follows a firm and strict policy, which is in place among all factions, of not staying among civilians to spare them any Israeli attacks,” Resheq added.
Resheq described the Israeli claims against schools, hospitals and shelter centers as “flimsy and blatant lies aimed at justifying its crimes.”
The Hamas official said that all the casualties of the Israeli massacre at the Tabin School in Gaza were civilians and there was no single resistance fighter among them, calling the massacre a “genocidal crime” and a “dangerous escalation.”
He said that the large number of civilian casualties, including over 100 martyrs, belied the Israeli army’s claim that it had used “smart weapons” to minimize civilian casualties in its missile attack on the school.
“If such American smart weapons kill all those civilians, it only highlights the stupidity of the Israeli army and its leaders. These weapons are anything but smart,” he added.
At dawn Saturday, the Israeli army bombed al-Tabin School in al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City with three missiles, massacring at least 100 displaced civilians and injuring dozens, most of them in critical condition.
