GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Four-year-old Lina Al-Sheikh Khalil tragically died on Wednesday of malnutrition and lack of medical treatment in light of the ongoing Israeli war and the deliberate closure of border crossings in the Gaza Strip.
Family sources affirmed that the little girl died due to malnutrition at Shuhada Aqsa Hospital as a result of the ongoing war and blockade.
“The little girl was living in a tent that lacked the most basic necessities of life, amid high temperatures and difficult health conditions” her uncle said.
“Lina needed special healthy food such as fruits and natural juices, some vitamins, and medicines that were not available due to the war,” he added.
Lina’s death has brought the total number of victims of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip to 37, including children.
