OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Monday an under-construction residential building in the town of al-Ram, north of Occupied Jerusalem, for alleged security reasons.
Local sources reported that the IOF, accompanied by three bulldozers, stormed the town of al-Ram, and began knocking down a 4-story building that belongs to the citizen Anis al-Natsheh, noting that the building has an area of 3,500 square meters.
The sources revealed that the demolished building is one of 17 others previously notified to be demolished for the expansion of a settlement road linking two military checkpoints north of Occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli demolition operations have recently escalated in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem, affecting homes and commercial and agricultural structures in addition to other facilities.
