GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has warned against the Israeli occupation army’s persistence in issuing more “illegal” evacuation orders against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Wednesday, Euro-Med described the last Israeli evacuation orders in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and Mawasi al-Qarara in the west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza as “illegal and dangerous,” stressing that they would lead to more forced displacement and increase the density of those areas, which are already crowded with displaced people.
Euro-Med said that the Israeli army issued on Wednesday morning new evacuation orders against tens of thousands of people, including displaced citizens, living in Blocks 129 and 130 in al-Mahta area and Deir al-Balah.
Euro-Med warned that Israel is insistent on expanding its attacks in Deir al-Balah, which is crowded with one million people, most of them already displaced from northern and southern Gaza.
Euro-Med reiterated its appeal to all countries to shoulder their responsibilities through imposing effective sanctions on Israel and ending all forms of political, financial and military support and cooperation provided for it.
