RAMALLAH(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) renewed on Wednesday the administrative detention of two detained women from the city of Ramallah.
The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS), said in a joint statement that the IOA renewed, for the third consecutive time, the administrative detention orders of two detained women: Hanan al-Barghouthi and Mona Abu Hussein.
The human rights organizations announced that the IOA issued today 22 administrative arrest warrants against Palestinian prisoners from the West Bank and Jerusalem, for renewable periods ranging from two to six months.
According to the human rights groups, the geographical distribution of the new administrative detention orders came as follows: seven from Ramallah and Al -Bireh, four from Jericho, two from al-Khalil, two from Tulkarem, two from Nablus, two from Qalqilya, and one from Bethlehem and another one from Jerusalem.
The two women were arrested by Israeli occupation forces on March 5, 2024, after storming their homes in Ramallah.
