DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Ezzat al-Resheq, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, confirmed that if pressure is not applied to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to adhere to the agreed terms of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli captives will not see the light of day.
In a press statement on Monday, al-Resheq said that everyone knows Netanyahu and his Nazi government are the ones obstructing the agreement.
The Hamas leader called for a permanent cessation of aggression and a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
Al-Resheq refused Netanyahu’s new conditions, adding that they would “return us to square one.” He stressed that the claims circulated by Israel and some American sources regarding new demands by Hamas are lies and an attempt to evade responsibility for obstructing negotiations and halting the aggression against the Palestinian people.
Earlier, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director held talks with Israel, Qatar, and Egypt to modify the details of a proposed prisoner exchange deal. The newspaper also quoted a senior US official as saying that the chances of reaching an agreement with Hamas were already low, but Netanyahu further diminished them with his statements.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu continues to insist on the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in over 135,000 martyrs, injured, and missing.
